You wont believe how quick and easy it will be to completely protect your couch from bed bugs, just follow the 3 step solution below and you will be protected in a few minutes.
STEP 1.
Remove all of the cushions from the couch and check them to see if there are any bed bugs. If you find any bed bugs on the cushion covers them wash them in hot soapy water to kill them. If you can’t wash the covers then use our Bed Bug Steamer to kill the bed bugs.
Using the Bed Bug Killer powder and the Bed Bug Duster, dust around the inside edges and back edge of the couch.
STEP 2.
Now we need to kill the bed bugs living inside your couch. Tip the couch up on its end so that you can easily access the base. You will see the backing sheet; this sheet is normally stapled around the outer perimeter of the base to create a seem.
The bed bugs love these seems because it lets them walk in and out of the couch base whenever they want. To treat simply dust the seams thoroughly, making sure you go around the entire perimeter of the seams. Now bed bugs inside the couch will be forced to walk across the Bed Bug Killer powder when they leave the base looking for a blood meal. Over the next few weeks all the bed bugs living inside the couch will die.
STEP 3.
Now we need to treat any bed bugs living in the room. Place the Bed Bug Barrier Tape around each bed leg of the couch, this will stop any bed bugs in the room from walking up the bed legs to bite you. To make sure these bed bugs die, simply dust some Bed Bug Killer powder on the bed legs and on the floor where the couch legs sit.
Place the couch on the ground and replace the cushions. Make sure that the couch is not touching any side tables, walls or any other furniture because we want to force the bed bugs to walk up the couch legs.
