Dear Tony,
We were given a single bed mattress for my daughter’s bedroom at our beach house. Didn’t even think about it as every other beach house in Australia runs on second hand giveaway furniture. Unfortunately, unbeknown to us, it was infested with bed bugs. My 5 yr old daughter woke up one morning and was covered in bed bug bites. Never really hearing anything about bed bugs and not realising that we had a beg bug problem in Australia, we thought it was a chicken pox outbreak. It wasn’t until a few days later when the rest of the household including myself, also started to come up with bite welts that we knew that something was feasting on us while we slept. A quick run through Google pointed to bed bugs.
We immediately threw out the mattress and went the spray option with both insect bombs and surface spray. Needless to say the following summer we had the same problem and the bed bugs had spread to yet another room and the number of bites was increasing. That’s when I found Bed Bug Barrier on the internet. I purchased the bed bug killer powder along with the puffer bottle and enough beg bug barriers to do 6 beds.
I dusted along every skirting board, top and bottom, door frames, around furniture, picture frames, bed frames and also thoroughly dusted all the mattresses. I essentially put a fine layer of bed bug killer dust into every place and every surface that a bed bug might be walking across or hiding in. The powder is completely non-toxic so I was very liberal. I then filled the beg bug barriers with powder and screwed them on to every bed leg. The whole process was not at all difficult but it took the best part of the day as I was doing multiple rooms and 6 beds. We left that evening and returned a couple of weeks later.
We were all nervous on our first night back. I got everyone to move their beds away from the walls and we all went to sleep. In the morning….no bites at all…….Thank You Bed Bug Barrier. That was 3 years ago and we have not had a single bite since then. What further commendation can I give than that.
